This article explains the Report Fraud feature in QR Mark and how it helps users flag suspicious or tampered documents during verification.
Introduction
QR Mark helps organizations verify the authenticity of documents using verifiable QR Codes. When a document is scanned, users are redirected to a secure verification landing page that displays the document’s verification details.
To enhance security and transparency, QR Mark provides a Report Fraud feature. This feature allows end users to quickly report suspicious or fraudulent documents directly from the verification landing page. Once a report is submitted, the configured email recipient is notified so the issue can be reviewed and appropriate action can be taken.
A. Enable the Report Fraud Feature
To enable the Report Fraud feature in QR Mark, follow these steps:
• Log in to the QR Mark account
• Go to Settings > Report Fraud
• Enter the email address where fraud reports should be sent
• Click Save
Once enabled, the reporting option will appear on the verification landing page of your QR Codes.
B. How End Users Can Report Fraud
When an end user scans the QR Code placed on a document:
• The user is redirected to the document verification landing page
• At the bottom of the page, a prompt appears:
“Suspect fraud or tampering? Send Report.”
• The user can click on Send Report
After clicking the button:
• A report submission page opens
• The user is asked to describe the suspected fraud or tampering related to the document
• The user enters the reason for reporting the issue
• The report is submitted for review
C. Fraud Alert Notification
After a report is submitted:
• The report is sent to the email address configured in the Report Fraud settings
• The responsible team can review the issue
• Appropriate action can be taken if fraud or misuse is detected
This feature helps organizations quickly identify suspicious activity and maintain trust in verified documents.
