This article provides information about how AI Auto Fill populates verification data fields from an uploaded document, and how a saved QR Code position is applied automatically when creating a verification in QR Mark. This is useful for users who want to create verifications faster and with fewer manual steps.
When a verification is created, two automations run inside the wizard: data fields can be filled straight from the source document, and the QR Code is placed using a position saved on the template. Both are set up ahead of time on the Page Template and applied at creation.
A. AI Auto Fill
AI Auto Fill reads an uploaded document and fills the custom verification data fields defined on a Page Template, instead of requiring each value to be typed in manually.
Follow the steps below to use AI Auto Fill:
- Go to Verifications > Create Verification
- In Step 1, upload the source PDF
- In Step 2, select a template from the Page Template dropdown
- Click the AI Auto Fill link that appears next to the dropdown label
The link appears only when the selected Page Template has custom fields defined. Once it is clicked, a Reading your document status shows for a few seconds, then each field is filled with the matching value pulled from the document.
Note: The system fields Document Name, Created By, and Created On are not affected by AI Auto Fill. Document Name is taken from the uploaded file's name, and Created By and Created On are set by the system.
Note: After auto-fill runs, a reminder reads Please verify autofilled values before confirming. The fields remain editable, so values should be checked before the QR Code is generated.
Selecting a Page Template also auto-selects its linked Frame Template in the same step, so the data fields and the QR Code design are both applied as soon as the template is picked.
B. QR Code Placement
Each Page Template can store a default QR Code design and a saved position, so the QR Code appears in the correct spot automatically on every new verification.
Follow the steps below to set up QR Code design and placement:
- Go to Templates > Frames to create the QR Code design, including frame color, text color, and the SCAN TO VERIFY banner
- Go to Templates > Pages > [template] > Edit > Frame Template and Position to choose a Frame design for the template
- Click Frame Position to upload a sample PDF and drag or resize the QR Code onto the exact spot where it should sit
Once a position is saved, creating a verification with that template places the QR Code in the saved spot automatically. In Step 2, clicking Generate Verification Image applies the placement without any manual adjustment.
The placement can still be overridden for a single document in Step 3. The on-screen instructions read Click and drag verification image to place on desired position and To resize verification image, click and drag from corners. A Current Page and All Pages toggle controls whether the QR Code appears on one page or repeats on every page of a multi-page document.
Note: During the placement preview, the QR Code thumbnail may briefly show the link text of an older verification instead of a blank placeholder. This is a cached preview graphic used for alignment and does not affect the final output—the generated verification receives its own unique ID and its QR Code points to the correct data page. The exported document should still be checked after download.
